A Birmingham Bus Tradition
15th July 2006

One of the more endering traditons is that when a bus driver retires he is towed in the garage by his fellow drivers on his last day,

This is a tradition that was started in the B.C.T. (Birmingham City Transport) days these day it is more of a family affair in that family and friends will tow the driver, let us hope that this tradition will carry on for many years yett to come,

The driver who retired after 45 years of drivng he retired on the 14/July/2006 he was a driver at Acocks Green Garage were he worked for W.M.T. (West Midland Travel) the bus that was used was the Ex B.C.T. Daimler MOF 225 3225 and splendid time was had by all

As far as I am aware this is a Birmingham tradtion If you know of a driver who is about to be towed can you please let me know the details as it would be nice to add more photos
